Launch of the German Bundestag’s website and Twitter account about the parliamentary dimension of Germany’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union
To mark the start of Germany’s Presidency of the Council of the EU, the German Bundestag is expanding its online presence. On the website www.parleu2020.de, those who are interested can access information in German, English and French about the parliamentary activities as part of Germany’s six-month Presidency of the Council of the EU. At the same time, the Bundestag is launching its own Twitter account at @parleu2020de.
The website provides information, in the form of reports, videos and podcasts, about the planned events and about the role of the Bundestag and the Bundesrat in EU policymaking. The website is also the platform for all public (video) conferences. In addition, a quiz, a digital jigsaw puzzle and a competition for school students are planned as interactive Services.
The German Bundestag is taking to Twitter for the first time, to provide information about the activities as part of the parliamentary dimension of Germany’s Presidency of the Council of the EU. Topical information about conferences and other European-policy issues in the Bundestag will be shared on a continuous basis at @parleu2020de.
